There are hundreds of different automobile organizations and thousands of producers, suppliers, brokers and service/repair shops that regularly participate in shows. These shows allow the general public to come together and enjoy the expertise of industry leaders and allow those who like to take action to have their own opportunity to improve, repair, and promote their automobiles. It is also a great way for the general public to become familiar with certain makes and models of automobiles that they may not have previously owned or know anything about. By offering information and exhibiting automobiles in various styles and configurations Auto Shows give everyone the opportunity to participate.

Many people attend automobile shows to buy or sell a car. The vast majority of car shows focus on one model type, such as coupes, sedans, trucks, performance vehicles and so on. There are also some car shows that are open to the public and attended by the general public. In addition, many public car shows are sponsored by a number of different automobile manufacturers, brokers, and dealers. Public shows are an excellent way for a new car buyer to meet with and inspect different makes and models available on the market.
